Privacy policy for The No Bullshit Business Coach website

Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it and what we will never do with it.

Plain English

Privacy Policy Of The No Bullshit Business Coach

The No Bullshit Business Coach (ABN 23 650 852 716) operates the thenobullshit.coach website and provides business coaching and mentoring services from Level 35, 477 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that business, and “the Service” means this website and the coaching services offered through it.

This page explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information. If you choose to use the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in line with this policy. The personal information we collect is used to provide and improve the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described here.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Terms used in this policy have the same meaning as in our terms and conditions unless defined differently here.

If anything below is unclear, ask. The contact page has the phone number and the enquiry form, and a real person answers both — that person being Robert Adelman, who runs the business.

What we collect

Information Collection And Use

For a better experience, and in order to respond to you at all, we may ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information. Information you give us voluntarily includes:

  • Your name, so we know who we are talking to.
  • Your email address, so we can reply to your enquiry.
  • Your phone number, so we can call you back if that is quicker than typing.
  • The nature of your enquiry, including the topic you select and anything you write in the message field.
  • Business and postal details you choose to share with us during coaching engagements, such as your trading name, business address and information about your operations.

Why we have it

How We Use Your Information

Information you provide is used to contact or identify you, to answer your enquiry, to arrange and deliver coaching sessions, to issue invoices, and to improve the Service. That is the complete list.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not add enquirers to a marketing mailing list without being asked to. We do not pass your details to lead brokers or third-party sales operations.

If you ask us to stop contacting you, we stop. You can do that at any time by replying to any message from us, by ringing 1300 59 00 82, or through the form at the bottom of this page.

Automatic collection

Log Data

Whenever you visit the Service, we collect information that your browser sends to us, which is called log data. Log data may include your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, the pages of the Service you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other diagnostic statistics.

Log data is used for security, troubleshooting and understanding which pages are actually useful to visitors. It is not used to build a marketing profile of you.

Cookies

Cookies, Google Tag Manager And Analytics

Cookies are small files containing a modest amount of data, commonly used as an anonymous unique identifier. They are sent to your browser by the website you visit and stored on your device.

This website uses cookies to collect information and improve the Service. We use Google Tag Manager to load and manage measurement tags, which may in turn set analytics cookies so we can see how many people visit, which pages they read and where they arrived from. This is aggregate reporting about traffic patterns, not surveillance of individuals.

You can accept or refuse cookies, and configure your browser to tell you when a cookie is being sent. If you refuse cookies, some portions of the Service may not work properly. Most browsers also offer a setting that asks sites not to track you.

For general background on what cookies are and how to manage them, your browser’s own help documentation is the most reliable place to look.

Spam protection

Google reCAPTCHA v3

The enquiry forms on this site are protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which distinguishes genuine enquiries from automated spam submissions. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. It runs invisibly in the background and does not ask you to identify traffic lights.

This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to those Google terms, and the information it collects is used solely for improving reCAPTCHA and general security purposes. Without it, the enquiry form would fill with bot submissions and genuine enquiries would get lost in the noise.

Who else touches your data

Service Providers And Third Parties

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related tasks, or to help us analyse how the Service is used. These third parties have access to your personal information only to perform those tasks on our behalf, and they are obliged not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. The providers involved in this website are:

  • Resend — delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox as email. Your name, email address, phone number and message pass through this service in order to reach us.
  • Google Tag Manager — loads and manages the measurement tags used to understand website traffic.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — protects the enquiry forms from automated spam submissions.
  • Our web hosting provider — stores and serves the website files and generates the server log data described above.
  • Our email provider — stores the enquiries and correspondence you send us, in the same way any business inbox does.

Keeping it safe

Security And Data Retention

We value your trust in providing us with your personal information, and we use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as Australian record-keeping, tax and legal obligations require. When information is no longer needed for any of those purposes, we destroy it or de-identify it.

If you would like your information removed earlier than that, ask us and we will do it wherever we are not legally required to keep it.

Cyber security is not an afterthought here — it is one of the six areas we coach clients on. There is more about that approach on the cyber security coaching page.

Your rights

Your Rights Under The Australian Privacy Principles

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the following rights in relation to the personal information we hold about you:

  • Access. You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and we will provide it unless an exception in the Act applies.
  • Correction. If information we hold is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading, you can ask us to correct it.
  • Deletion. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need to hold, and we will unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it.
  • Anonymity. You can deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym where it is lawful and practical — for instance, by ringing for general information rather than submitting a form.
  • Opting out. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time, and we will act on that request.
  • Complaint. You can complain about how we have handled your personal information, using the process below.

If we get it wrong

How To Make A Privacy Complaint

  1. 1

    Tell us first

Contact us by phone on 1300 59 00 82 or through the enquiry form, and set out what happened and what you would like done about it.

  2. 2

    We investigate

We will acknowledge your complaint, look into what occurred and tell you what we find and what we are doing to fix it.

  3. 3

Escalate if you are not satisfied

If you are not happy with our response, you can refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), the independent regulator for privacy in Australia.

Links, Children And Changes To This Policy

Links to other sites. The Service may contain links to other websites. If you click a third-party link you will be directed to that site. Those external sites are not operated by us, so we strongly advise you to review their own privacy policies. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party site or service.

Children’s privacy. The Service does not address anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we delete it immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can take the necessary action.

Changes to this privacy policy. We may update this policy from time to time, so please review this page periodically. We notify you of changes by posting the updated policy here, and changes take effect immediately once posted.

Privacy Questions, Answered

What personal information does this website collect?

Only what you type into an enquiry form — your name, email address, phone number, the topic you select and your message — plus standard server log data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you viewed.

There is no account to create, so nothing else is stored about you.

Does this website use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are used to run the site and, through Google Tag Manager, to load measurement tags that tell us how many people visit and which pages they read.

You can refuse cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not behave properly if you do.

Why is Google reCAPTCHA on the enquiry form?

To keep automated spam out so genuine enquiries actually reach Rob. reCAPTCHA v3 runs invisibly and does not make you click on pictures of buses.

This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. Both are linked in the reCAPTCHA section above.

Who actually sees my enquiry?

Rob. The form is delivered to his inbox by Resend, an email delivery service, and stored in the business email account like any other message.

It is not shared with a sales team, a partner network or a lead broker, because none of those exist here.

How long do you keep my information?

Only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as Australian tax and record-keeping law requires for client records.

After that it is destroyed or de-identified. If you want yours removed sooner, ask and we will do it where the law allows.

Will I be added to a mailing list if I enquire?

No. Enquiring does not subscribe you to anything. There is no newsletter waiting to fill your inbox and no automated follow-up sequence.

How do I get a copy of my data, or have it deleted?

Ask. Ring 1300 59 00 82 or send a request through the form on this page saying whether you want access, correction or deletion.

We will provide or action it unless a specific exception under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) prevents us, and if that happens we will tell you why.

How do I make a privacy complaint?

Raise it with us directly first, and we will investigate and tell you what we found and what we changed.

If our response does not satisfy you, you can escalate the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the independent privacy regulator.
